Volunteer Opportunities
Mobile Clothing Closet Attendants
We host 2-4 Mobile Clothing Closet events every month. Volunteers help shoppers find clothing, bag items, chat with families, and keep things organized – all while being a friendly face and sharing God’s love. There events takes place on both weekdays evenings as well as on Saturday mornings.
Sorting Clothes
We receive a large number of donations and spend time inspecting and sorting clothes to ensure they’re ready for those in need. Volunteers help inspect items for quality and organize them by type and size. Sorting is done Monday – Thursday from 9am-12pm. We can also arrange evening times for small groups interested in serving in this way.
Donation Pick-ups
We have multiple collections points around the area where clothing is donated for Anchored Ministries. We require individuals from around the area who are willing to shuttle donations from the drop-off locations back to the main building in Elverson for sorting. This is typically needed once every two weeks.
Maintenance
If you’re handy, we’d love your help with ongoing projects in our building or with our Mobile Clothing Closet trailers. Whether it’s painting, building structures, or making repairs, we can always use the extra hands to help keep our building and equipment in excellent shape.
Community Outreach Events
These are large-scale events that require many volunteers. Roles range from registration and serving food to helping parents wrap Christmas presents, stocking school supplies, or assisting with prom dresses or winter coats.
Driving Team
We are in need of experienced drivers to tow our 16’ and 30’ Mobile Clothing Closet trailer. Our 30’ trim-axle trailers requires a CDL or a non-commercial Class A license, while the 16’ trailer simply requires experience towing a trailer. Your support in moving these crucial assets is invaluable.
Special Event Organizers
Whether you lead a booster club, missions team, or have ideas for special collections or drives, we’re eager to collaborate on fundraising efforts. We can even bring the Mobile Clothing Closet to your event if there is a need that we can help meet!
Specialized Services
If you have a specialized skill, whether it’s accounting, knitting, social media, landscaping, graphic design or baking, we would love to explore how your talents can contribute to our mission.
