A Morning of Movement, Community, and Impact
This past Saturday, Elverson came alive with the spirit of community as over 145 participants laced up for the 5th Annual Anchored Elverson 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run at Livingood Park. With clear skies, sunshine, and cooler-than-expected temps, the morning was the perfect setting for a day filled with movement, fun, and purpose.
Between the 5K and 1-mile participants, we were thrilled to welcome walkers, competitive runners, families, and kids of all ages. Together, this event raised enough funds to help distribute more than 4,100 articles of clothing through our Mobile Clothing Closet—bringing dignity, warmth, and support to neighbors in need across our region.
Race Highlights:
- Fastest 5K time: 17:25
- Fastest 1-Mile time: 6:27
- Top male and female finishers in 10 categories received medals, and
- Overall winners took home a prize bundle that included an Anchored swag bag, medals, gift cards, and a 3-month membership to Elverson Fitness Club
The kids had a blast in the 1-Mile Fun Run, and those who participated got to pick a prize from the table—making it a truly family-friendly event from start to finish.
